Thank you Honda for restoring my faith in you! After getting my car into the Honda dealership late Saturday afternoon, they finished it by Tuesday afternoon... new engine, new sun visors, new drive belt... and now she's as good as new. When I told Allen that she "purred like a kitten," he said that sounded too wimpy... so, for future reference, my car "roars like a lion." :)
This week Caleb and I got to go to play group. Allen was confused about why I was taking Caleb to a play group until I explained that moms need play group more than kids do, so we have other adults to talk to. All of the other moms that went had kids of playing age and they let me tag-along. Thanks!
On Saturday Allen got up early to play basketball at the church, while Caleb and I played at home. Here is a video of Caleb
waiting patiently in his crib for me to come play with him. I love when he wakes up happy instead of crying!

Then Allen came home to shower and we headed back to the church to go to the baptism of one of the girls we teach on Sundays. It was a beautiful service and she was so excited.
Then Allen practiced the organ since he's been asked to play in Sacrament meeting next week, he was not so excited.
And then we got a kitchen table! and I am still so excited.
I found this table on craigslist and now we don't have to just use our little card table and can have more people over and have a place for them to sit and eat. I'll put a picture on next week.

Look at that balance!
....you thought I was talking about Caleb... but see my legs (in the pajama pants I wear almost all day long) and now, be impressed because I reached over and took this picture |

| Just chillin' |
Caleb laughs more and more frequently. He thinks it's funny when I speak in a deep voice and I got a little bit of it
on video.
 |
| Mom-to-Mom diapers do not stay on my child well... the bottom part gets heavy and slides out and we get peed on. |
Caleb has lots of fun blowing spit bubbles and
razzing with his drool. I don't know if razzing is the right word, but that's what I call it. It even gets
all over his face!

| Caleb has decided that Mom makes a comfy couch |
Caleb is perfecting a scissor kick in the bath. He uses it to bring the rubber ducky up on his lap. He has done it for a few weeks now but we finally
caught it on video.

| This is how Caleb hangs out in his crib, sucking on his left hand and holding his toes with his right hand |
I have stopped reading to Caleb before he takes a nap. Routines don't work well for him. He figures out the routine leading up to his naps and starts crying as I begin getting him ready for naptime. I used dim the lights, hold him, give him his pacifier and rock him until he got tired... then place him in his crib to go to sleep.
Then he started crying as soon as I dimmed the lights, spat his pacifier out and squirmed while I held him and rocked him. Then I would sing "I am a Child of God" and soon he started crying when I sang that. I don't want him to hate reading, so we don't read before naps now. I just do something different every day now.

When we do read, he doesn't just reach for the book with his hands, he has to lift his feet up and grab the book with his feet as well. I'll get a picture or video of it sometime.
For some reason, Caleb does not want to sit in his bouncer. The lap/tray thing doesn't snap in place well and he has figured out how to lift it up and now squirms his way out of the bouncer. I don't know how he can figure it out so quickly! He is only in that bouncer for a total of maybe 15 minutes a day... this time I was just trying to make a sandwich and had to lift him back up three times. There is a five-point harness strap thing, but then he just fights the straps. Here's a video of him
squirming in the bouncer.

We made pizza Friday night and had to make two separate pizzas since Allen didn't want a cheese-free one.

The rest of these pictures are from my iPod, which is why they aren't great quality. But there are some quality moments when I have the iPod more handy than my camera.

When your mom's in the shower and your stomach starts to grow-el, diarrhea... diarrhea...
(Mom shouldn't have had that bite of ice cream last night) |

| Caleb has been spitting up more... there are some spots of evidence on his shirt and pants. |

Nikki- these are so darling! My favorite pic of Caleb is from the iPod set, 4th one where he's in the deep blue jammies. It just tickled my funnybone. I love this blog! :D
