April 29-May 5, 2012
Caleb is either not feeling well, in his terrible twos (6 months early) or officially sick of Leila being here. The past two days have been a patience-building (or patience-losing) experience. I'm just hoping he's just not feeling well so that it's something that will pass quickly and can be treated with Tylenol. :)
Trying to get Caleb to not be so overtired. I think that's a big part of the problem. He has fought taking two naps but has been much happier after a good, early morning nap. The afternoon nap he cries going to sleep and wakes up crying and grumpy.
He figured out how to slide out of the stroller when not buckled in. He has been antisocial and just walks away to be by himself if we're at the park with other people. We've been egg hunting again, with nothing in the eggs, but he still loves it.

| Here's a package my mom and sisters sent me for my golden birthday. They bought everything in the store that was "gold-ish" colored. Thanks! |
Leila has been smiling and cooing. I took shower, when got close enough for her to see, she smiles. Likes the fan. When on her tummy, she moves across the crib. It's definitely not a crawl but she shifts her weight and does kind of an inch worm motion. She slept five and a half hours T

ednesday night!
Caleb plays peekaboo with her. He also likes to sit close to her feet. If he's in a bad mood, he pretends to be hurt when she kicks him. If he's in a good mood, acts like she's tickling him.
Monday evening we went to the White's house for dinner. Tuesday night I had a primary presidency meeting.
Thursday we ended up back in the hospital again. After three projectile vomiting episodes in one afternoon and two consecutive hours of mucousy spit up/choking episodes (including one more cyanotic episode), the pediatrician sent us back to the hospital for observation and testing.

She tested positive for RSV, which is why the doctors think she has so much mucous she's choking on. But she doesn't actually present with any other symptoms... Last night (Thursday) we also had a chest x ray, stomach ultrasound and bloodwork done. Now we're waiting on those results and will be getting another echocardiogram done today (and hopefully results back today so we can maybe leave).

Poor Caleb probably feels abandoned again. He's staying with the Parkers for now.
I hate being in the hospital, overhearing nurses talk about us, sitting by myself, feeling like I need to be with Caleb. It feels similar to when we were in the NICU.
Doctors and nurses took Leila and I much more seriously after seeing her have an vomiting episode. It made me feel better that they were somewhat shocked when saw what was happening and it was nice to have them suction her and give me a break. They were surprised at the amount of mucous as well.
They thought she might be having seizures each time she had an episode and weren't sure about her abnormal posturing. They didn't have any answers because tests came back normal for the most part but thought Sandifer's Syndrome was something that might explain her symptoms. They started her on reflux medicine to hopefully help.
