pH Probe

September 23-29, 2013
Our week unedited:
Monday visiting teaching to Marci

Tuesday Texas Children's GI specialist visited during occupational therapy appointment (He's awesome!). Allen went to Austin.

Wednesday I got blood drawn (For future reference: don't go to the Quest in Conroe, go to the one in The Woodlands) and we played with the Davises to get Caleb used to playing at their house so he can go there during Leila's therapy. Went to Kroger.
Thursday we went downtown to get Leila's pH probe put in. She got a cute backpack to hold the monitor in. The kids and I went to Sam's Club after Caleb's nap and got him a pretzel and a Dr. Pepper for me.

She looked so cute with the little backpack, I had to get a million pictures of her. Poor girl had to have a tube down each nostril for 24 hours though!
Friday we had to go back downtown to get it out. Missed parking garage and took twenty minutes to loop back to it. Caleb refused to ride in the stroller and dropped his bus down the elevator shaft. We were so late. Stopped to get fries and a drink at the cafeteria afterward and Caleb melted down walking back. Lady told me she just said a prayer for Leila. I almost cried in the middle of the cafeteria for the fourth time that morning. Kids cried most of the drive home. Allen got home early and we all went to Walmart. After the kids were in bed we watched Ironman 3.
Saturday was supposed to be a six mile run that was cut short to 4.5 miles so I could stop and nurse Leila at a park. Caleb played for a while and then we mozied the mile and a half back home with Caleb running, jumping, gathering sticks, watching cars and just being a boy. Afternoon thunderstorms and a broken lawn mower left our lawn long and shaggy but Allen defrosted our freeze in the garage and got it running like new again. I cleaned and made some bread in our new bread maker, purchased to accommodate my soy-free diet. In case you're wondering... dairy and/or soy are in everything!

Saturday night I went to the relief society general broadcast. Then we had Timber-Ky, Joey, Forrest and Brant stay at our house for the night. They drove down from Utah for the Yankees' game on Sunday.

Caleb loved having friends here on Sunday. It took a minute to warm up and then he was following them around the house until they left. My visiting teachers came. Nap time all around and then church. After church we ate at the Noorda's and Allen went home teaching.

Leila's been off the tube since Saturday morning. We're giving it a try to see how things go.

I love this progression of pictures! Leila already teases Caleb.
