New Years and the drive home

December 31 2012-January 6, 2013

New Years' Eve Allen and I thought we'd celebrate our anniversary by going out to Texas Roadhouse. It turns out that everyone wanted to celebrate with us . . . the wait was over two hours at both of them nearby and as we drove around it looked like everywhere had long lines. So, we went home to eat chicken noodle soup with the family and play games. Telestrations was probably my favorite new game.

Caleb loved the little four-wheeler my parents had. He'll really love it next time we visit, when he can ride it better.
On New Years' Day Brynn came and took some family pictures, these are the only ones I took with my camera.
I forgot, when we were at the Adams' I got 7-8 inches chopped off of my hair.

Dancing with Grandpa
This was a couple of days before we left that I realized I had hardly taken any pictures so I started trying to take some. I didn't get any with Grandma and Grandpa Adams! We went down on Jan 2 and spent the day with them.

We left to go back to Texas early in the morning Friday, Jan 4th. The trip back was harder than on the way there. Caleb was sick and Allen and I had to start switching off driving every hour or two once we got to the night-time. Forty-five minutes from our house I had to get off at a rest stop to have Allen drive because I could not make it the rest of the way. I think I only had to pee behind one building on the way home . . . those small towns we drove through for the majority of our drive don't have any available bathrooms in the middle of the night.
