Phone calls and Santa

December 3-9, 2012
Here are a few pictures I missed from the past couple of weeks that were on Allen's phone.
Playing in the tube slide
Trying to climb over Dad in the tube!
Sick day, watching Tangled
Another sick day, watching Tangled again. At least my pregnant belly is comfortable for Caleb.
Now onto this week:
We're finally healthy again! It turns out Caleb probably had roseola, which starts with a high fever and ends with a rash.
Time for church

Monday Caleb handed me my phone and asked me to call Dad. Another time he text Dad the letter A. Friday he sent Allen a blank text and then called him. I just thought Caleb was pretending to talk on my phone until Allen asked him, "Where's Mom?" and Caleb handed me the phone. I took the phone, pretending to say hi but Allen was actually on the phone!
He likes to push his high chair around the kitchen.

Caleb is learning how to be a true boy . . . he hangs on the counter, the washing machine, and the oven (until it opened and he fell flat on the kitchen floor). After he hung onto the water dispenser buttons and dumped water out, I moved a chair to block his path. Since he couldn't climb over the chair, he climbed under it and was stuck until I got him out. He also loves our laptops and this week in a matter of minutes, he managed to open a million things and change settings that I couldn't change back.
He loves making noise and these make a lot of noise when he drags them around the tile kitchen floor.

It looks like it was probably time to do laundry again, but after doing three + loads of laundry every day for the previous week, I decided Caleb could just not match.

When I get ready in the morning (the whole five minutes it takes to put on deodorant, pull my hair back and brush my teeth), Caleb sits in the bathroom sink. Or I guess I should say, Caleb sat in the sink. He now turns the faucet on when I put him in there and then I have to change him.

Saturday we had a church Christmas brunch and Santa came to visit.
Caleb sat on his lap and didn't cry but did not like it much. He scooted off as quickly as he could.
Caleb did give Santa a high five after we got him off.

After the brunch we went to cub scouts pack meeting for bicycle safety. Not bad weather for December!
Caleb liked riding someone else's bike.
Sunday was usual other than having our neighbor, Chuck, come over to eat dinner with us after church.
I love these guys!
This is the Christmas picture we attached to the treats we passed out to our neighbors, since most of them don't know our names but know Caleb and I from us being outside all of the time.
Cute kid!
Helping Dad turn on Saturday morning dance music.
Dancing. Sometimes he head bangs while he holds onto the TV stand, but this time it looks like he's jumping.
He loved this four-wheeler at Academy Sports and threw a tantrum when we left. From then on, he kept running back to try to get to it so we had to leave quickly after.
